Autonomous systems are increasingly vital to augment and accelerate how real-world operations are conducted today, especially in challenging scenarios with time-sensitive objectives, degraded sensing and communication, and difficult environmental conditions and terrain. The DARPA OFFensive Swarm-Enabled Tactics (OFFSET) program seeks to discover and demonstrate breakthrough technologies at the forefront of swarm capabilities, focusing on swarm-level autonomy and human-swarm teaming in the context of challenging urban settings.

This talk provides an overview of the OFFSET program and, among other such program initiatives at DARPA, highlights numerous swarm technology developments that will help close critical gaps and enhance future missions relevant to safety and security operations.
