The electromagnetic environment (EME) is all around us. It is invisible, it is contiguous, and it is the medium through which nearly every piece of data on the planet is now transmitted. Our daily operations depend on it and the future of military operations depends on it.
This presentation will define EME and explain the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) – the tool we use to measure and allocate energy in the EME. We will also define EMSO (electromagnetic spectrum operations), the 21st century U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) term for classic electronic warfare and spectrum management, and explain the nexus of cyberspace and EMSO. We will highlight how the physical EME and metaphysical cyber domain cooperate and mutually exist but remain exclusive.
In this webinar, we will cover the following:
- Define EME and EMSO
- Explain EMS and the nexus of cyberspace and EMSO
- Provide a reason you should become an ambassador for EMSO in the DoD
