Energetic materials additive manufacturing (EMAM) is a growing field of research of particular interest to the U.S. government due to its ability to explore new energetic formulations quickly and economically in various mediums. This webinar is a brief overview of the different additive manufacturing (AM) processes and research being done in the United States by the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Energy, industrial industry, and academic organizations and elsewhere in the world. While there is published work using powder bed fusion and fused deposition modeling AM processes, an overwhelming majority of the publicly available research utilizes direct ink writing and related technologies.
This webinar summarizes the research and briefly discusses current hindrances and avenues for future growth of EMAM on the following platforms:
- Direct Ink Writing and Inkjet Printing
- Powder Deposition Modeling
- Powder Bed AM
Security Requirements: This webinar is limited distribution and will require a government-sponsored CAC to log on. Registrants with approved credentials will receive a webinar meeting link the day before the scheduled webinar.
