Hosted By: NDIA/Naval Postgraduate School

Location: Monterey, CA

This two-day, classified symposium with an optional third day of classified tutorials fosters technical dialogue and exchanges of information on aircraft survivability topics such as design, operational experience, threats current and future, reliability, maintenance, and testing of aircraft survivability technologies.

Using the Naval Postgraduate School as our venue and co-sponsor provides attendees a unique symposium experience that offers a forum for learning through its presentation of relevant tutorials on the first day and then presentations by senior keynote speakers from government, the armed services, industry, and academia on survivability-related subjects on the following days.

These presenters will discuss survivability technologies, survivability sustainment and operations, threats, and countermeasures. This symposium will also include warfighter information on survivability effectiveness in today’s fight, which will inform solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.

During both days of symposium presentations, there will be a technical poster papers area where additional content can be viewed and discussed outside of the formal session presentations. The event is specifically structured to facilitate relaxed dialogue and continuous networking opportunities among attendees. Finally, NDIA’s Combat Survivability Division (CSD) will recognize individual technical and leadership achievements in a formal awards ceremony during lunch on the third day.

The 2023 Aircraft Survivability Symposium is a SECRET//NOFORN event; attendees must hold at least a Secret clearance and be U.S. citizens. Please review the security clearance and gate access information page when available and submit your clearance information via DISS according to the instructions.
