Kenneth Poe

Kenneth (Ken) Poe is the Acting Director of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head (NSWC IHD), Battle Lab Division. He has held several positions at NSWC IHD, including mechanical engineer in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Research and Development Department, project manager for next generation EOD Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) systems, Navy lead for the Joint CREW Analysis of Alternatives, section head for the EOD Research and Development Department CREW Section, EOD Science and Technology Director, and customer advocate for EOD and CREW applications. He holds two U.S. Navy patents on EOD equipment. Throughout his career, Mr. Poe has worked on multiple EOD research and acquisition efforts to field technology for the Joint EOD force, supported the development of Science and Technology (S&T) projects for the EOD force, and oversaw a $120-million annual portfolio of EOD and CREW programs. Mr. Poe holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
