NSF HAMMER-ERC
Glenn S. Daehn is the Mars G. Fontana Professor of Metallurgical Engineering at The Ohio State University and Director of the NSF HAMMER-ERC, where he researches manufacturing process innovation in impulse-based processes for joining, shaping, and cutting materials. He was involved in establishing the LIFT Manufacturing USA Institute and Ohio State’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence and the Ohio Manufacturing Institute. Dr. Daehn holds a B.S. from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University.
