Dr. Frank Liou is the Michael and Joyce Bytnar professor of mechanical engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T). Currently, he serves as the director of the Intelligent Systems Center at Missouri S&T. He has published a book on rapid prototyping, along with over 400 technical papers. Dr. Liou’s research focuses on hybrid additive and subtractive process integration, process modeling, automated repair, and advanced material fabrication. Recently, he received the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Frederick W. Taylor Research Medal. Dr. Liou is a fellow of both the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and SME.
