Yong-Kyu Yoon is a professor and a graduate coordinator with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida (UF), where his current research interests include microelectromechanical systems, nanofabrication, and energy storage devices; metamaterials for radio frequency (RF)/microwave applications; micromachined millimeter wave/terahertz antennas and waveguides; wireless power transfer and telemetry systems; lab-on-a-chip devices; and ferroelectric materials for memory and tunable RF devices. He was a postdoctoral researcher with the Georgia Institute of Technology, an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering at The State University of New York, Buffalo, and an associate professor at UF. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and was a recipient of the National Science Foundation Early Career Development Award and the SUNY Young Investigator Award. Dr. Yoon holds a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
