The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) is searching for DoD/USG SMEs focusing on AM logistics, supply chain, integrated production, and obsolescence in support of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) AM Integrated Product Team.
The DoD has been heavily pushing the boundaries of the research and development (R&D) of AM materials, design, and processes; however, the DLA wants to establish a line of operations that can impact the long-term sustainment and large-scale procurement of operationally driven production of AM items. The goal is to move from part-to-part R&D projects to large-scale procurement of operationally driven production of AM items.
In support of this goal, DSIAC is looking for expert and experienced personnel to help the DLA collaborate with maintainers and suppliers to identify the demand patterns for materials, machines, and parts and establish a line of operations that can impact the long-term sustainment of AM items across the DoD.
If you are involved in this particular focus area of AM or know of people who are, please reach out to Travis Kneen (travis.j.kneen.ctr@mail.mil), the lead IAC engineer, or join the discussion on the DTIC DoDTechipedia posting by clicking the “Join the Discussion” button below.
