The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) is seeking existing systems that can illuminate a small, austere landing zone to allow an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to conduct vertical landings in no-light conditions. Of interest are small, light, rugged systems that illuminate the landing zone in the infrared spectrum and are man-portable, not mounted on the UAV airframe. The system needs to be battery powered and cannot require any software or hardware modifications to the UAV.
