This webinar provides insight into the U.S. Air Force’s (USAF’s) non-lethal weapons program. It consists of two parts. The first part is a primer on non-lethal weapons (NLWs)/intermediate force capabilities (IFCs) covering the following topics:

  • Non-Lethal Weapons Program Milestones
  • Transition to Intermediate Force Capabilities
  • The Future of Non-Lethal Options:  Kinetic Energy, Directed Energy, or a Combination of the Two

The second part of the webinar presentation focuses on peer-to-peer and near-peer conflict and the use of intermediate force capabilities to create operational advantages in military operations within gray zone operations. This webinar introduces the idea of the competition continuum and the strategic advantages NLWs and IFCs provide during the build-up of geopolitical tensions.
