DSIAC was asked to support the Homeland Defense Information Analysis Center (HDIAC) to find information on research, testing, and technologies that explore the effects of the lower atmosphere on the propagation of EM energy in maritime environments and mitigation solutions – in particular, real-time monitoring of the troposphere for the effects on EM spectrum warfare. DSIAC performed a DTIC Research and Engineering (R&E) Gateway search to compile a bibliography of articles and received information from Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) subject matter experts (SMEs) on related GTRI development efforts and laboratory facilities capable of providing communications, electromagnetic effects, electronic warfare (EW), and cyber warfare (CW)-related research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) support.
