What are the minimum and maximum blade pitch angles for the main and tail rotors on the AH-64D and AH-64E aircraft?

DSIAC worked with U.S. Army aviation program managers to supply the forward and aft minimum and maximum rotor blade pitch angles, as well as information on points of measurement along the blade, for the CH-47/F Chinook and AH-64D/E Apache aircraft. This information is needed to properly model the potential interference of the main and tail rotor blades, body (fuselage, tail boom, control surfaces, and landing gear/skids), stores, and instrumentation being carried off the platform in the performance of infrared countermeasures placement studies. These studies aid in developing rotary-wing platform countermeasures to threat missile systems with seeker sensors operating in the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet spectral regions that usually require constructing geometry models of the platform and installation placement studies. The models and studies ensure both the missile warning receivers and countermeasure systems have good lines of sight that cover all launch and attack areas of the incoming missile threats.
