What are the means to enhance and analyze the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness of various polymer-materials-impregnated conductive materials?

The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) received technical inquiries regarding the means to enhance and analyze the electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (SE) of various polymer-materials-impregnated conductive materials, such as copper meshes, nickel‑coated carbon fibers, and polyether ether ketone.  Technical experts at DSIAC compiled information about the state of research regarding the SE of these composite materials, the companies that produce them and offer electromagnetic SE testing services, and the various methods and standards for testing SE.
