DSIAC was first asked to find an aircraft model, a standard vulnerability target geometry model (TGM) that could support FASTGEN/COVART analyses. DSIAC staff contacted multiple agencies that work with rotary-wing geometry models for various modeling and simulation analyses and identified such a model from SURVICE Engineering. The model from SURVICE Engineering was in the standard “.g” BRL-CAD format, but to be used with the FASTGEN modeling software, needed to be converted to the FASTGEN “.fg4” format. Therefore, DSIAC staff converted the file to the desired format and performed some required file cleanup due to part nomenclature, but did not change any of the file geometry and did not cause any issues in working with the updated file. The converted file was delivered to the requester. To read more about and request the FASTGEN model, click here.
