DSIAC was asked for IR images of vehicles and human targets from ground platforms such as an M1 or M2 Bradley tank. DSIAC searched open sources and provided information on the forward-looking infrared automated driver assistance systems IR imagery and South China University of Technology far IR pedestrian datasets. These datasets contain annotated IR and visual imagery with associated metadata of commercial vehicles and personnel that can be used for artificial intelligence, machine learning, training, and other purposes. DSIAC also contacted the Eglin Air Force Base 46 Test Squadron to request listing IR imagery at specified distances for vehicles and personnel from the Eglin Signatures Data Center (ESDC). The ESDC is one of the larger U.S. Department of Defense repositories of electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) and radio frequency, mostly millimeter-wave, signature data for domestic and foreign tactical and strategic vehicles, as well as some aircraft, watercraft, and personnel imagery. Most of the data are collected with commercial imaging EO/IR (short wavelength IR, medium wavelength IR, long wavelength IR, light detection and ranging (LiDAR), and radar systems designed for collecting test data. All data in the system are limited distribution, and some are classified.
