The Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC) was asked to search for UASs that can operate in a shipboard environment and perform autonomous logistics operations. UASs used for maritime logistics are critical to the U.S. military and the Department of Defense by helping to gather data for inspection purposes, assessing damage to vessels, surveying and monitoring the maritime environment, and making deliveries to offshore vessels. Eleven UASs with two or more of the following parameters were identified and sent to the inquirer:Â military use, produced in the United States, payload capabilities of a minimum of 40 pounds, range minimum of 150 nautical miles, autonomous vertical takeoff and landing, use of batteries or fuel, and the ability to operate in harsh weather conditions.
