DSIAC was asked to support the U.S. Navy’s Innovation and Modernization Pax (IMPAX) project by identifying experts in modular payloads for UAS. DSIAC created discussion and information exchange forum pages within its website and social media outlets and the DoD TechSpace to solicit community input and promote the efforts of the IMPAX project with U.S. government (Department of Defense [DoD] and other federal agency), defense industry partners, and academia. Additionally, email blasts were sent out to the relevant communities of practice to encourage participation. Five organizations from the U.S. DoD, industry, and academia responded to participate in discussions and provide suggested approaches and information on potential government off-the-shelf, commercial off-the-shelf, and developmental solutions. All information was provided to the IMPAX project principal investigator. Contact information was exchanged between the IMPAX project principal investigator and participants to continue discussions in greater depth.
